Cruise from Spring Hill Metro to McLean Metro, charting new bridges, neighborhood connections, and helpful crossings through Tysons. See how it all links together!  Feeling wiped? Hop on the Metro to zip back to your starting point. 

Not up for the whole trek? No worries—every check-in scores you points! Start anywhere along the route and make it your own adventure.

1. McLean Metro Station (Orange Route)

2. Old Meadow Rd by One Life Fitness

3. Pedestrian Bridge Over I-495

Opened in late 2022, this bridge and trail link the neighborhoods of Tysons East directly to Tysons Corner Center with a short walk or bike ride. Whether you are heading to shop, grab dinner, or start a transit trip, this trail and bridge makes so many more walk, bike, and roll trips possible! 

Directions to Your Next Check-In:

  1. Continue over the bridge and turn left.

  2. At the intersection, use the crosswalk and turn left to continue South on Ring Rd.

  3. Find your next check-in at the stop sign.

4. Ring Rd & Towers Crescent Dr

Directions to Your Next Check-In:

  1. Turn right on Towers Crescent Dr and follow the bike lanes.

  2. At Leesburg Pike, take a right onto the sidewalk and continue across Fashion Blvd.

  3. Cross Leesburg Pike in the crosswalk.

  4. Continue on the sidewalk to the right until Aline Avenue.

  5. Turn left onto Aline Ave, transitioning to the street.

  6. Be cautious of approaching vehicles.

  7. Find your next check-in at the intersection with Boone Blvd.

5. Aline Ave & Boone Blvd

Directions to Your Next Check-In:

  1. Turn right onto Boone Blvd, riding on the street. Use caution.

  2. Continue straight through two intersections.

  3. Find your next check-in where the road turns sharply to the left.

6. Curve of Boone Blvd

Directions to Your Next Check-In:

  1. Continue on Boone Blvd.

  2. After the stop sign, carefully continue straight through the intersection.

  3. Immediately, turn onto the short sidewalk to wait to cross Chain Bridge Rd.

  4. Push the button to cross, then cross Chain Bridge Rd.

  5. Once across, turn right to follow Chain Bridge Rd Service Rd.

  6. When the service road ends after the left turn, find your next check-in on the continuing sidewalk.

7. End of Chain Bridge Service Rd

Directions to Your Next Check-In:

  1. Continue on the Leesburg Pike sidewalk past the Greensboro Metro entrance.

  2. Use caution crossing driveways and streets.

  3. Your next check-in is just before the Spring Hill Metro at the entrance to the Vesper Trail.

8. Vesper Trail

Opened in 2019, the Vesper Trail is a short walking and biking connection linking the Town of Vienna and its neighborhoods to the Spring Hill Metro station and Tysons. The trail includes a bridge with views of lush greenery along Old Courthouse Spring Branch and Tysons Forest. 

Directions to Your Next Check-In:

  1. To finish this route, cross the street to the Spring Hill Metro Station

  2. Take a Silver Line train back to McLean Station or retrace your path.
