Directions to your next check-in: From the McLean Station entrance, travel through the Kiss & Ride Lot towards the Capital Bikeshare station and turn right on Chain Bridge Road. Turn left onto Old Meadow Rd. At Asbury Park Rd, transition onto the parallel multi-use trail to find your next check-in.
Opened in late 2022, this bridge and trail link the neighborhoods of Tysons East directly to Tysons Corner Center with a short walk or bike ride. Whether you are heading to shop, grab dinner, or start a transit trip, this trail and bridge makes so many more walk, bike, and roll trips possible!
Directions to your next check-in: Continue over the bridge and turn left. At the intersection, use the crosswalk and turn left to continue South on Ring Rd. Turn Right on Towers Crescent Dr and right again onto Leesburg Pike. You will find your next check-in just ahead at the intersection of Leesburg Pike and Fashion Blvd.
Directions to your next check-in: Cross Leesburg Pike and take a right toward the Shell Station on Aline Ave. Turn left onto Aline Ave and then right at the next intersection which is Boone Blvd. This is a nice shaded stretch and the vehicle traffic is low enough that you should be comfortable sharing the road.
Follow Boone Blvd around to the left (see the Aldi they are building at the corner?) and your net check in will be the intersection of Boone Blvd and Chain Bridge Rd.
Directions to your next check-in: Cross Chain Bridge Rd and turn right onto the Service Rd. Follow the Service Rd as it curves to the left and puts you onto Leesburg Pike.
Enjoy the straightaway along these large sidewalks but be careful at the shopping plaza entrances and watch out for pedestrians. Your next check in will be at the intersection of Leesburg Pike & Westpark Dr/Gosnell Rd.
Directions to your next check-in: You are still going straight and easy! The next check-in is the final one for the Orange Route, at the entrance to the Vesper Trail.
Opened in 2019, the Vesper Trail is a short walking and biking connection linking the Town of Vienna and its neighborhoods to the Spring Hill Metro station and Tysons. The trail includes a bridge with verdant views of Old Courthouse Spring Branch and Tysons Forest.
Directions: Taking a quick lap out and back along this trail will add less than a mile to your ride. At this point, you have three choices to return to your starting location – you can retrace your route back, hop the Silver Line across the street at Spring Hill Station, or take the Purple Route up around the North side of Tysons.
